My name is Kimiko, but my friends call me Kimi

I’m passionate about creating solutions that inspire stability, opportunity, and hope.

A few things to know about me…

1. My aerospace engineering background

In December of 2022, I graduated with a Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering from UCLA.

During my time there, I slowly began to look for other options that allowed me to direct my creativity towards making accessible solutions that could benefit those who are not often considered.

My time within the aerospace field helped me develop skills in collaboration, mechanical design, product development, and analysis.

This would have to be one of my most fulfilling experiences from college. My friend and I volunteered to produce the first live show in Royce Hall upon the return of in-person classes at UCLA.

I had always written stories in my journals but this was the first time I was allowed to bring one to life. Leading a group of over 60 peers, we presented a show to a live audience of over 500 people.

I think and feel very deeply, and I’d like to believe those are my superpowers! More on these personality types…

I am one of four children raised on a farm in the Central Valley, so learning how to play any instrument was not necessarily in the cards for me.

I’d like to believe that this fueled my love and appreciation for music even more. Creating custom playlists for my friends and family has become one of my love languages actually.
